About Our Owner

 

 Robert “Jerry” DeFatta, CFE, PCI, CRT

Jerry has over fifteen years of experience as a professional working investigations. He is board certified as a Professional Certified Investigator and is a Certified Fraud Examiner. He is also certified in the Reid Technique of Interview and Interrogation. In 2005, Jerry left the casino industry to concentrate on his private investigations firm. Prior to leaving, he worked for over 10 years as a Senior Security Investigator for one of the largest gaming companies in Louisiana. In 1997, Jerry became licensed as a private investigator and founded DeFatta & Associates Investigative Services. Throughout his career he has conducted hundreds of investigations and received extensive training in this field. He is an active member of ASIS International, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and the Reid Institute. Jerry is also an experienced instructor who has conducted training in investigative techniques, fraud prevention, deception detection, and security procedures. He has authored articles on the topic of employee theft and his work has been published in Security Management and PI Magazine.
