About Our Company DeFATTA
& ASSOCIATES is a privately held security investigation
firm. We were established and licensed in Louisiana in 1997 (LA Lic.
3333-080197-LA). Since that time we
have conducted hundreds of fraud and business-related investigations. We specialize in reducing business losses
caused by fraud and identifying potential security weaknesses. Using a variety of resources and
investigative techniques, each case is professionally and confidentially
conducted. We also offer training in security and fraud prevention
techniques. The firm is owned and operated by Robert Jerry DeFatta, CFE,
PCI, CRT. * * * * * About Our
Owner Robert Jerry DeFatta, CFE, PCI, CRT Jerry has over fifteen years of
experience as a professional working in security and investigations. He is board certified as a Professional
Certified Investigator and is a Certified Fraud Examiner. He is also certified
in the Reid Technique of Interview and Interrogation. In 2005 Jerry left the
casino industry to concentrate on his private investigations firm. Prior to
leaving, he worked for over 10 years
as a Senior Security Investigator for Horseshoe Casino & Hotel, one of
the largest gaming companies in Louisiana.
In 1997, Jerry became licensed as a private investigator and founded
DeFatta & Associates Investigative Services. Throughout his career he has
conducted hundreds of internal investigations and received extensive training
in this field. He is an active member
of ASIS International, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE)
and the Reid Institute. Jerry is also
an experienced instructor who has conducted training in investigative
techniques, fraud prevention, deception detection, and security procedures.
He has authored articles on the topic of employee theft and his work has been
published in Security Management and PI Magazine. * * * * * About Our
